Word and requirements management with SE Suite

Word and quality of requirements
For quality management, the connector to Microsoft Word allows you to define, measure, improve and manage the quality of your requirements specifications within the systems engineering process. The REUSE Company offers a specialized version that works with Microsoft Word: RQA – QUALITY Studio for Word. RQA – QUALITY Studio for Word uses a wide set of metrics to assess the quality of a requirements specification normally written in MS Word: Correctness, Consistency and Completeness (CCC). While individual metrics are suitable to assess the correctness of a single requirement, global metrics can assess the consistency and correctness of a requirements’ set specification. The global metrics covered by RQA – QUALITY Studio for Word are coupling, inconsistency and missing requirements, and can be applied to any kind of requirements types, like for example, functional requirements.
Word and traceability of requirements
In the same way, the connector allows full traceability of requirements in MS Word with the entire set of tools connected to the suite. It allows MS WORD users support for Product Line Engineering (PLE), Verification, Validation, Decision Management, Configuration Management, Reuse, and, finally, the integration of requirements engineering in a completely configurable lifecycle.
RQA – QUALITY Studio for Word is fully integrated with MS Word (versions 365). RQA – QUALITY Studio for Word uses Word Documents to store the requirements information, therefore, it can be used for those organizations that are not currently using any requirements management tool to support the requirement management process, or in those cases where there is no connector available to your RM tools.
