Hi everybody! :)

I received the following question:

Is there a procedure to “resync” a metric baseline to a module?. For example if changes are made to the quality metrics baseline currently synced to a doors module how do I have the tool evaluate against those changed metrics? Same question if I need to change the metric baseline all together.

It is a very good question. For that, you have to have in mind three things:
  1. In the Quality Assurance tab you will find the metric baselines. I always recommend to consider these baselines as metric templates, meaning that they are defined following a general quality approach. Then, you assign one of these metric templates to a requirements module in the Project Configuration tab -> In the Modules button, right-click on the module and select the baseline by the option ‘With metric, quality assessed manually/automatically’
  2. You can tailor the assigned metric template to follow exactly the quality needs of each module. This tailoring process is done in the Project Configuration tab for the selected module.
  3. Changes made in any side (metric template in Quality Assurance or module metric set Project Configuration) won’t affect the other. However, if you want to apply the changes in the other side:
    1. From template to module metric set -> Just re-assign the template to the module (In the Modules button, right-click on the module and select the baseline by the option ‘With metric, quality assessed manually/automatically’)
    2. From module metric set to template -> You can either overwrite the template or create a new one. In the Modules button, right-click on the module and select the ‘Upgrade’ options)
I hope it was clear enough
