Hi!

I have the following question: how can abbreviation be recognized?
It is usually a word ending in "." (dot) character, but I don't know haw RQA detects them.

Thx

Hi!

The abbreviations must be into the controlled vocabulary (through KM) in order to be detected by RQA. It is not accurate enough to classify any word as ABBREVIATION only by the reason of having a dot at the end of it (it is more likely to be the end of the sentence).

On the other hand, there is a Correctness metric in RQA that does this job to detect unknown abbreviations.

I suggest just adding them when you detected them in KM into the vocabulary.

Thank you for your question.
