Requirements Quality Suite for Microsoft Excel
The Requirements Quality Suite (RQS) allows you to define, measure, improve and manage the quality of the requirements specifications within the systems engineering process. The REUSE Company offers a specialized version that works with Microsoft EXCEL tool (RQS for EXCEL).
RQS for EXCEL uses a wide set of metrics in order to assess the quality of a requirement specification, mainly Correctness, Consistency and Completeness (CCC). While individual metrics are suitable to assess the correctness of a single requirement, global metrics can assess the consistency and correctness of a requirements’ set specification. The global metrics covered by the Requirements Quality Suite are: coupling, inconsistency and missing requirements, and can be applied to any kind of requirements types, like for example, functional requirements.
RQS for Excel is fully integrated with Microsoft Excel (versions from MS Excel 2000 to MS Excel 2013). RQS for Excel uses Excel sheets to store the requirements information, therefore, it can be used for those organizations that are currently using no requirement management tool to support the requirement management process, or in those cases where there is no connector available to your RM tools, since most of the RM tools provide a roundtrip export-import system through MS Excel.
